I only approve of homeschooling for secondary education (high school). If you are able to maintain healthy social interaction with friends you have, and you are able to self-manage well.
Homeschooling may have many perks, but when it comes to the important things like consistent study and self-improvement, you need to put the effort in. Is you do a correspondence-based course, there won't be anyone to hold your hand. In many ways the actual studying part of homeschooling can be harder than that in public schooling.
I've been doing correspondence schooling to finish my secondary education after having done a few years in a public school. Its not the same as homeschooling but it has a similar feel.
