Always evacuate oxygen from the effected areas, unless you can't maintain oxygen. Speeds up fixing it.

oxy was broken on fire and i had about 3hull left, Was dead i know about opening doors that just didint work here

How do you even do that accidentally.

When I want to bring rooms back to sufficient oxygen faster, I open all internal doors. Sometimes, I forget them open or simply hit the wrong button. Since they're all open, hitting open again opens the airlock doors and "AHH!"

yeah but I don't see how you don't notice that all the rooms are pink

the wording is fine
evacuate refers to someone. to evacuate people [someone, occupants] from a burning building.
you would expel, vent, exhaust or discharge oxygen. not evacuate. although at a stretch it's allowed as evacuate is synonymous, unfortunately english is full of exceptions. it's akin to saying you interject or vomit oxygen through the airlocks. it works but it's wrong.

i dont even know why im arguing this. intricacies are just my thing.

Doors are pink? I always have blast doors so I have time to move my crew to the medbay. It isn't very contrast when the doors are open vs closed. It's really easy to accidentally hit the damn open doors button because of Steam notifications, and I KNOW I will forget to turn them back on if I'm already playing a game I'll ragequit from, so I don't turn them off.

..no, ROOMS are pink. they slowly start changing color as they lose oxygen, you know.. so you have plenty of warning..

We are talking about accidentally opening the airlocks. No room would be pink until the accident, unless it is a room we are trying to equalize (breach, etc.). Do you know what we're talking about?

rooms are white but they turn pink when oxygen leaks out and you have to be blind not notice EVERY DOOR IS OPEN

wtf is wrong with you? obviously i know what youre talking about, get the stick out of your ass. if you accidentally open all your doors, rooms will start turning pink LONG BEFORE CREW MEMBERS START TO DIE FROM LACK OF OXYGEN. thus, you have time to close the doors and everything is fine.

He accidentally opened all the airlocks. When all doors except airlocks are open, the airlocks will open when pressing the open doors button. This is subconscious, but blast doors are closer to normal room color and thin. You do not always notice which are open and closed. You equalize the oxygen around the ship be pressing the open doors button. You forget the doors are open, paying attention to other things, and hit it again due to a breach or something. More likely, you simply press the wrong button (open) again. In either case, you accidentally open the airlocks with all other doors open.

................ and that's totally fine because you have plenty of warning before crew members start to suffocate
are you stupid or something

I have had this happen to me twice. Both times, I closed the doors in time. However and of course, both times were also completely unexpected, and you do loose oxygen relatively quickly considering. I can see how if this happens and your crew is already weak from a battle a moment before, you can loose some.

only if youre a huge dumbass, it takes quite some time to start suffocating..
