i've found out that Rockmen are exceptional pilots, idk if it's just me doing battle and it's luck, but he seems to get piloting skill so much quicker than other races.
also, engi are much faster than other races at using the weapons systems.

if i find out any more i'll be sure to let yall know.

also on this current run i just got the crystal guy :D

yeah but it says that on their bios or whatever, it says nowhere that rockmen gain piloting experience twice as fast as other races.

and i lost the crystalline game due to a dang solar flare (i hate this game),
and on the next one i unlocked the stealth cruiser :D :D :D

engi ship is the easiest one to get, all of the other ones you have to go out of your way / get them randomly during normal gameplay.

piloting exp is really easy to get, every projectile dodged is 1 pilot exp i think, and every weapon fired is 1 weapons exp
are you sure you just aren't dodging or firing a lot?

no idea.

my engi gunman is at level 2 gunning when all of my other guys are 50% through level 1, same with the rockman pilot.
idk what's going on.

and then whenever i have a human pilot he sucks.

nevermind, i figured it out.

every time the ship fires a weapon, the person manning the guns gets a point in the xp.

and the engi ship starts with the fastest firing weapon in the game.

So I decided to modify the "data" file in this folder (I made a back-up copy, don't worry) and every change I make, no matter how small or insignificant, always crashes the game on start-up.

I'm just curious as to why this happens, because I thought it shouldn't cause problems like that.

EDIT: Even if I don't make changes (just delete a letter, replace the exact same character, then save it) the game crashes on start-up. What the hell.

has anyone been to the final boss yet? i'm :D :D :D right now because i've shredded both of it's wings (you have to fight it at least 3 times, i haven't won yet.) and i've only taken about 8 hull damage.

oh god i just won with 4 hull damage left and 3 crew members out of an original 8.
drones so op.
