i've been meaning to watch patlabor, how do you like it so far?

I remember a particular Gundam mod for Homeworld 2, it was amazing.

It's awesome. If you liked the 1995 Ghost in the Shell movie, you'll like the Patlabor movies.

I started with the Early Days OVA (takes place in the movie continuity, TV series continuity is different) which I thought was really good, then I watched the movies. Everything is mostly comedic but has some serious tones, which isn't a bad thing.

Slight bump with some recent purchases news.

Bought the MG Buster Gundam at a local shop, was an impulse buy, oddly enough I chose him over MG duel for the design aspect alone.  He's cool, but he's not incredible -- it's not that he has issues, it's just...  I realised I don't really care for buster gundam's weapons.  I bought TFP Rumble.  He's cool, honestly he doesn't feel as nice as TFP ratchet, who's the only other TFP figure I own, but he's still nice.  And lastly, I bought the RG MK II... while the other figures are passable, this thing is loving awesome.  Some symmetry issues on the head buildup (consistent with all models), but otherwise he's just fantastic.

i don't have a TFP ratchet but i've kindof been wanting one. it's too bad the stores near me rarely restock and the nearest toys r us or target is an hour away ; ;

He's nice, looks really good in robot mode.  His articulation would be a lot better if he had some kind of abdomen/waist joint, but he's still neat.

I bought foc Starscream today and he has some of the best lightpiping I think I've ever seen. His eyes are always glowing.

KICKBACK on the other hand...

sigh... it's disappointing because that plastic is a really lovely color.

Try getting a camera tripod, set the iso to 80 and expirement with the flash, or you camera with a long exposure setting increase it and make the room dark as possible, take two pictures one with flash one without.

Me? I'm just demonstrating the light-piping, not trying for a professional-looking shot.

Yeah, Qwepir can take pretty good photos.

Started building the MG Turn A, my eyes started hurting so I took a 6-hour break and only got the head and torso done.

people need to stop posting in that other thread because that other thread is lame.
