Many people enjoy it as a recreational drug, and it isn't very unhealthy (but if you're smoking it, that is obviously unhealthy being that it is smoke)
The government spends a lot of money putting people in jail simply for having it in their possession. The "War on Drugs" is bad for Mexico and it would cut  gang revenue, on average.

considering how much america's declining these days in all ways, it wouldn't surprise me if it was legalized in the next 25 years. i'm against it though.

the reason why stuff like cocaine and meth are illegal is because they are so dangerous and have such powerful effects. nobody seems to be able to agree on any medical truth about weed but when it comes to stuff like this, but i think we really are better off without it. for that matter, we're also better off without research, but it makes an easy job for some people and it makes big money for the addicts so that apparently makes it okay. same thing will happen with weed, no doubt. it'd probably become as common as popcorn and fat people.
