yay for release in like 3 years

ive read that it will be persistent world (everyone plays together) and there will be a large alien army for pve. it would be sweet having huge fights in space. (i think there will be constant pvp as well)

so eve but new?

Are there giant space cruisers that are actually player controlled?
By the sounds of it, you are either "on the bridge" aka spectating and not firing any weapons, or in a small fightercraft in the actual battle.

i hope so. its things like that and open world combat that can determine what makes this worth playing to me. I don't want it to just be combat instances and have the rest of the world like a glorified matchmaking

I agree. There's some fun in exploring a massive universe in a ship with a crew,  possibly good, possibly bad.

From what I'm reading here it sounds just like Freelancer mixed with Shores of hazeron

With just a bit of Freespace/descent thrown in too.

I'd love to have a game where you can run around the bridge while stuff's going down and then the front glassplate or whatever explodes and everyone gets sucked out.

I hate kickstarter for games and things like that, they're making money before they even start a product. Especially when its a company with money that does this when it already has money

no they're not making money... they're spending all the money they get from kickstarter on development

normally that money would come from a publisher like EA. who could force the devs to do whatever they want them to

Hm that ship and this look very much alike.

i hope there are some non-combat roles
or at least roles that arent all about shooting

They're not taking any risks on making the game, they're guaranteed the money to make the game and then some. Then pretty much every sale afterwards is pure profit. It's annoying to me
