You should restart the tekkit server to a fresh new start.

Almost everyone is in quantum and has several hv solars

we need to be reset

Arch isn't there, freebsd, slackware, and something called openSUSE are there though.
And that's about it for the low cost options.

Also, Debian says it comes with over 29000 packages, is that what you meant with 'less bogged down with stuff'?
OpenSUSE is like CentOS. Same Packaging system. Both Are based on some Enterprise Linux.
Idk any more difference.

I'll hopefully be migrating the servers to these people after christmas.
Then I guess I can reset the tekkit server.

You should go with dedicated instead.

I could have sworn openSUSE was based off of Slackware and not RedHat

Don't go with DotBlock, you will regret it. Try NFOServers if you want a good server. I Ran a TF2 server on a VPS with them a year or two ago and it did great, I got over 60,000 players over a period of a few months. People were always telling me how well the ping was. My server was ranked #2 on some game monitor website at the time.

Edit: I was using over 1TB of bandwidth a month with TF2. Just so you know.

Costs about 175% of what I would be paying with dotblock?
How is it better?

Dedicated what?
Dedicated server.

In the higher ranges a VPS is not worth it all.

the cheapest dedis cost hundreds of dollars a month though

That's because you shop in some really bad places.

Not recommended: http://www.ovh.co.uk/

Server4you seems amazing.
Even if you pay 10$ a month more for the waived setup fee, I can still get more than my old server (4gb ram, hundreds of gb diskspace, literally the same processor I have in my home pc (i think)) for like 10 dollars less per month.

Hell, if I thought I could make money, I'd buy one of the larger servers.
But idk how to make money with this?
No one donates, and I sure as hell can't start another hosting service.

edit: hell, ovh.co.uk looks just as good
why wouldn't you reccomend it?

OVH has horrible reviews, but I've never had experience with it.

Really?
Just read it's wikipedia page, it's apparently the largest host in the world.
That can't be bad, right?
