the amount of full-on handicap in this thread is astounding

characters from the original series WILL NOT play a big role - disney will start a new trilogy, new storyline, with new characters
disney isn't JUST some big money-hungry corporation. if mr lucas thought they were going to ruin the franchise, he WOULDN'T HAVE SOLD his company. it's not like he needs the money.
MAYBE IT WILL SUCK REALLY loving BAD. but that doesn't ruin your childhood. no matter how good or bad episode 7 is, the ORIGINAL SERIES IS STILL THE ORIGINAL SERIES.

The only good part about star wars was the cool laser battles with the robots and stuff and the spaceship battles. all the dumb jedi luke obiwan stuff was boring.

If they do that sort of thing and make the clone troopers more than just there to give people something to shoot, so that you actually felt bad for them when they died and not just, "loel another trooper bites the dust" every 10 seconds, I might actually enjoy it.

well in films 2,3 (newish stuff) the clones actually talked and had emotion, but in 4,5,6 (set 19 years later) they were stormtroopers, which were nearly devoid of emotion, built to carry out tasks and not talk whilst doing it
