Since it's Sunday morning...

Also, Nemesea - Whenever

Pretty decent symphonic and power metal/rock band. A little underground.

And add Six Feet Under and Cannibal Corpse to the death metal list.

Doublepost:

I'd hate to drag anything Vocaloid-related into this thread, but:

All of these are rock and metal. They're not really that heavy, but they are satisfactory.

These are just a few I picked from the extremely small amount of Vocaloid songs that are actually good and not some weeaboo-ish gay pop stuff.

How is TOOL not under prog.metal? And how come Children of Bodom aren't mentioned under melodic death metal? Both those bands are genre-defining, and among the most famous bands in their respective genres.

I'd also like to see Opeth and Porcupine Tree under prog.metal. Especially Opeth (again, probably one of the most famous prog.metal bands out there)

You know what I don't get?

Glam Metal isn't even a real category.  The bands listed are hard rock, rock, or pop rock...

Guns n' Roses didn't even consider themselves to be a metal band.

Just found out that Disarmonia Mundi has a side project called The Stranded. Sweet.

The top three songs I liked the most in their 2012 album, Survivalism Boulevard:

The Stranded - Blackout Season
The Stranded - Ill Will Future
The Stranded - Sulphur Crown

My friend brought his six string bass over to my house today. That stuff was awesome.
