Author Topic: America needs your help on the road to legalization of Marijuana (New Link)  (Read 11269 times)

Instead of dealers on the street who sell to whoever, it will be in stores. Stores only 21+ can purchase from, now it is up to these 21+ people to be responsible around their kids and not leave it lying around for the kid to take. Now they have more control over what there kid is doing
and you really think that's going to make it harder for kids to get? lmfao

if anything people will just start buying the weed legally and selling it at a higher price to minors. either way it's not going to make it harder for kids to get pot

Not really, it's just loving stupid that people talk about smoking weed on a lego game ages 9 and up, it makes me imagine a bunch of wasted potheads crawling around a playground for kids, lol.
this is why you're a carbon copy of tony to me lol

"i hate bronies so i'm going to continuously spread their fandom around the forums" - "I hate drug discussions so i'm going to continuously bump the threads and make posts about it" - "I hate hot chick discussions so i'm going to participate in the threads"

you both can't seem to wrap your head around the fact that you're actually being counter productive to your goals.

just gonna wade through all the ragemad in the thread and say this

notice how cigarettes and alcohol both have age limits, and both generally do damage. if you're not an idiot, you'll realize that basically everything you put into your body can harm you in some sort of way, regardless of what it does. now both cigarettes and alcohol are legal, yes, but that doesn't mean they can't hurt you. i'm sure all you stoners know that, but do you realize why it would be a very bad idea to legalize it?
think for a second. why is it hard to get alcohol? cigarettes too? they are both not the best of things for you, but they are legal...
...and controlled. a lot. they put taxes and prices onto things such as alcoholic substances, as well as cigarettes. a pack of camels? $15-$20; a pack of bud water beer? anything in between $6-$10. also, both of them have pretty insane limits to who, what, where, when, and how you use them. if (and when) they do legalize everywhere, they are going to do the same thing to weed like they did to alcohol: limit it.

jesus, people, stop posting so i can put my paragraph here

The restrictions on alcohol and cigarettes are far from unreasonable. In fact, I think if something affects your cognitive function it's perfectly normal for it to be illegal to consume publicly, but if it does not cause harm to you from short term use or significantly increase the likelihood you will cause harm to others it shouldn't be illegal outright.

Your entire point against legalization is that it'll be regulated. You're a moron. I actually cannot get past that in my head for long enough to put why you're a moron into words.
Congratulations, you're so stupid you've made me stupid by attempting to quantify how stupid you are.

loving lol

Ah

HAHA

HAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Do you seriously think every 21 year old is a responsible parent?
I never did, I said that they are expected to be responsible but not all of them are, but alcohol is still legal

unnecessary
EDIT: like, not needed at all. i get the point. don't have to add that you're an starfish about it.

I never did

The point is, it's not going to limit access to minors much. Some minors might even be more daring since they don't have to go to some shady career backstreet dealer anymore who could really be selling any mixture of drugs.

You can have many laws thrown in place, but in the end they all get broken. Thats why you see desperate kids outside a store asking adults to go in and buy them a bottle of booze.

That is a good point actually, I know what you are saying

Sorry
Happens sometimes maybe I should light up to relax :V

Also after a bit of reading the Washington and Colorado laws are the same on two counts:
  • Legally you can own up to an ounce for recreational use
  • You cannot legally consume it in a public area

And in Colorado, you can have up to six plants for personal growing (but you're not allowed to sell it) - in Washington, growing it is still illegal entirely which is still fine really.

Maaaan forget 'straya

Did you know there are places in Alaska where you aren't allowed to own, buy or sell alcohol?

Unless I misread, Colorado also allows licensing of stores to sell marijuana, where Washington only allows state-run stores to sell it, I believe.

meanwhile in mexico, violent cartels operate on an income gained from selling drugs such as marijuana illegally in the US. legalize those drugs and the cartels are out of a hella lot of business..
