Author Topic: States are petitioning to leave the union. About 4 already met their goal.  (Read 13039 times)

Wow I just looked at the highest signed petitions on whitehouse.gov and they're all completely laughable.

In the case of them actually getting away with secdeeing, just curious, how would the military react? I'm assuming state militias would become the new 'army' for those states, whereas most other states militias and the actual army would defend the remaining USA

But I don't think it would get that far. Not with history and the common knowledge of "oh stuff one button press launches a thermonuclear warhead and levels half of the US, gee wouldn't that sure be a damper on my day, being incinerated while all the air and everything around me literally vaporized.
smashing.

Let the states leave, they'll be begging to come back when they run out of needed resources and when their economic system fails.

Sort of relevant, but an incredibly unbiased post:
Quote
>mfw people think the president has absolute power
>mfw people don't understand separation of powers
>mfw people don't understand that the real problem is congress
>mfw people don't even realize that the electoral college makes other people's votes count more
>mfw people think a 51% to 49% popular vote gives obama a mandate
>mfw people honestly believe signing an online petition does stuff
>mfw people actually believe they would survive if they seceded

FOR THE CONFEDERATE ARMIES!

Petitioning against the government on pretty much the government's main website is... weird.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but nobody's going to fire any WMDs. mutually assured destruction is frightening

I'd rather the people who want to secede be deported into their own, fun, entirely conservative little country.  An example is the fact that many people in Texas aren't as backwards as the morons signing the petition, they shouldn't have to suffer for their stupidity.

Hopefully they'll secede. We dont need them on our team anyway.

In case of civil war, all of the weapons and most of the resources are in the west I believe. Unless the Confederates make some foreign  deals, they're forgeted.

A single state does not have the means to sustain its population. Even if all the seceded states banded together to stop this problem, they would still have trouble diplomatically as well as economically. It's not going to work and I'm sure this movement will die out quickly.

Patrick: Who dumb o'l texas anyway.

Wait a minute... If we loose Texas we loose a major meat and oil supplier.

Cali has cows I think.
Actually Cali is losing cows hahah. Your economy is so messed up I don't see how the movement needs to worry about the "west" having resources.
