Enough signature means Obama will personally reject the proposition. Not succession.

Political reform also includes means of secession.
When you secede, you reform the existing government you took with you into a new government.
Texas, for example, has every right to secede and form their own constitution, or even use ours. There is no copyright on the United States Constitution. They can simply copy every single detail and amendment from it and slap on their new country's name.

These are basic rights of people written in stone that our constitution incorporates.

Alyx, a petition to secede isn't implicit of an immediate secession.  A petition doesn't indicate action, only opinion.  If you're stupid enough to believe otherwise, I advise you to use a dictionary.

An interesting petition would be to see what would happen if all of these states that wanted to secede from the United States would have no economic part in the US.

And that is why people in the South revolted when they were denied this right.
I mean, sure, the South were a bunch of douche bags anyway and needed to be put in line, not saying any of the racial intolerance was okay. But still.

The South provoked a war anyway. Our president saying "no" is what set them off.
But right now, no states are provoking war.

wikipedia says the declaration of independence says:

I think that the part about abolishing and instituting is subjective. that it could mean revolution and reform, but that it could also mean carrying out more proactive solutions
