I use laptop build controls because they are better
wait
what are the laptop controls, because my current layout doesnt work well
I use arrow keys for basic X/Y axis control, +- for height, ctrl +/-  for whole-unit shifts, and [] for rotation

also I've always used WASD since I started BL. I wouldn't even be touching the arrow keys if I didn't need them to build.

WASD

But! I use C for crouch. When I started playing bl.. C was crouch automatically somehow. idk really. And I realized that shift is the correct button for crouch like, last year. Now I seriously can't change myself. This way I can't use D the same time as I crouch because the index finger is the one to activate them both. However, this way I can use shift, with my free little finger, for walk and thus have an easier time walking.

Laptop controls.

I use laptop controls because the computer i got blockland with was a laptop. I eventually got an actual computer with a keyboard but stuck with the laptop control settings.

What kind of a keyboard layout is that? I checked all of these and none have R and Z on the same row: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout

Well, I guess RZGM is harder to start typing or something from, but it doesn't require you to press all your fingers together.
And you can't move left and crouch.

WASD/crouch/space.
Arrow keys bound to turning in case I have a mouse emergency.

Standard boring qwertz keyboard that everone in germany uses

If you're left handed, Arrow keys could work I guess.

I always used arrow keys before I started playing Blockland. When I first started playing Blockland, I had a little difficulty in using the WASD keys, but overtime with practice I eventually found it easier to use and so I switched.

I'm left handed and i still prefer WASD

Are you setting WASD correctly? It should be just like the arrow keys but in a different spot.

I usually have my left hand operating the WASD keys and general left side of the keyboard, and my right hand operating the mouse and right side of the keyboard.

I always thought WASD was for left handed people
whenever i attempt to use WASD i end up meshing two keys together and it just doesnt work. how do you zoom your hand to the numpad to build then whoosh it over to wasd to move again? i imagine that being very unconfortable
