Author Topic: RTB Dedicated Hosting Service - Service Closing  (Read 362477 times)

If we reported lag spikes to you every time there was one on yours, There would be at least 500 more pages.  :cookieMonster:
Wrong.

Kalphiter's hardly lags for me.

Wrong.

Kalphiter's hardly lags for me.
My server used to get a ton of issues after we passed 25-30. Ghosting would happen every 5 seconds, lag spikes, etc. And it wasn't just me, It was everyone. Anyone that played my servers back when I hosted with Kalphiter knows.

Well when I had kalphs I never experienced lag.

besides this isn't the point.

this comment isn't needed. kalphiter is jsut saying that the server is lagging and it is not mallicious in anyway.

Lag spikes on ny01, this is really annoying.
NY01 Public Report

Appears that nobody else is getting it besides you :panda:

Looks pretty high to me.

Nearly twice as high as kaphost.com.

Odd, here's my average results:

RTB: 29 ms
Kap: 35 ms

Pingdom hasn't reported a change, mines the same as it always is, Chrono's hasn't changed, and neither Lub or Ephi have woken up from a ping alert on their phone. I think it's safe to say you both have stuffty internet.

What a loving joke.

Actually, that's really awkward because the IP you pinged isn't the IP for either of their servers.

It's the one I got when I did serverConnection.getAddress() in game.
Quote
==>echo(serverconnection.getAddress());
IP:68.168.212.106:30400
I wanted to do it myself but the internet here doesn't seem to allow any ping requests through. Maybe they think I'll DDOS someone or something.

I have an interesting idea for you guys.
How about letting clients "embed" specific control panel items?

You'd have an image URL which displays the latest version of that item, obviously not updating in real-time.
This could also go well with a main "server status" image.

For example, if you wanted to show people the graph of players and bricks in a forum topic:
You'd just go somewhere in the control panel, get a link, then write some BBCode such as the following.

[img]http://hosting.returntoblockland.com/ny02/16/stats/players-bricks.png[/img]

You'd then have the graph in this picture shown, being able to refresh to see the latest version:
