Author Topic: RTB Dedicated Hosting Service - Service Closing  (Read 361243 times)

My servers up but not on the player list.

As mentioned so many times that you should honestly know better, the appropriate way to raise this issue is via the provided support system so that:

 1. We are notified immediately of your issue.
 2. We have all the details we require about which server etc.
 3. We can respond directly and have you be notified of our update.
 4. We can keep a record of the issue for future reference.

Whenever Pecon's server tries to load bricks without him having been there (e.g. the automatic process right after a crash), we get:
ERROR: ServerLoadSaveFile_Tick() - $LoadingBricks_BrickGroup does not exist!
0 / 0 bricks created in 0:0-0.1

If I join the server, reload manually (which creates a brick group for him), clear, then reload externally, it works.

Hmm ok - I guess what we can do to fix that is have a brick group for the owner of the server be created on startup which the brick loading can then use. I'll make sure this is sorted out - thanks!

I just restarted, the panel was saying it was up but I realized nothing was updating and it was just stuck on saying 5/50 players. I guess it crashed earlier.

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring an enjoyable, quality experience for our customers we've added a Feedback tab on the left hand side of all the interface pages:

Clicking it will bring up this modal window:

You'll be able to submit new ideas, voice your support for ideas that have already been submitted and also feedback on any issues you've experienced while using the management interface. This tool is intended to add visibility to what our customer base determines to be important to them and will help us prioritise our upcoming improvements more appropriately.

Please be aware that this isn't a replacement for the ticket system and that any issues with your server should be reported via the usual 'Support' tab in the navigation.

Actually, this seems like it should be a default game feature.

Is there a manual way to kill the console stream? We're kinda doing some stuff that spams it and we don't want it to impact other servers.

Not at the moment no, we're considering that as part of the re-design though. Go ahead and do what you need to, the likelihood it'll affect other servers is very very slim. It's only when we have a bunch of people with superfluous console output that we get a bit concerned.

If I go away for 3 weeks on vacation starting tomorrow, and my server expires today, can I come back and renew it immediately and still have all my add-ons and settings there?

Err, our intent was to run trace over a long period of time to track down the cause of a crash we've been encountering over the past few days independent of any recent changes we've made, but I've kinda given up on that since it made the game nigh-unplayable, and the crash doesn't happen with nobody playing.

That's totally not a problem. I've extended the date of termination by a month so your server will just stay suspended for the next 4 weeks and you can renew when you get back.

Thanks! I got worried when I got the termination email, I'll be sure to purchase again as soon as I get back!

Is ny02 laggy or is it just my server?
EDIT: nvm

i'm getting them again and I know it isn't just me.

For some reason my server has been ultra-laggy for the last few hours. I've never gotten this before.

How would I add 3 months to my server? I can click ADD SERVER but I'm not sure if this makes a second server or adds time to my current one.
