Author Topic: RTB Dedicated Hosting Service - Service Closing  (Read 360929 times)

I think you should add some way to save your addons list as it is, and be able to save and load them. That way I could easily flick between different servers setups without having to remember everything
use ftp and copy config/server/add-on-list.cs while that feature doesn't exist

hosting.returntoblockland.com is timing out.

Hm, does seem to be a problem on my end. I cannot figure it out though, I was able to access it just yesterday fine from here.

server is like dead. Can't load anything onto it, can't connect. Authentication Error. What's going on?

Same. Filed a ticket, but still nothing.

cant load anything onto server: can't verify session token

no point submitting a token, they are never replied to.

So far this service is quite stuffty.

Over my session, RTB has have had countless errors, bugs, and other misfortunes. Sad actually.

Please try and fix this.

I just checked to see exactly how many tickets you've submitted that haven't been replied to and you've actually never submitted a ticket. I'm issuing you a full refund and suspending your server. Take care.

The service has been getting DoS attacks thrown at it for the past week or two alongside the Blockland auth server. There's obviously nothing we can do about this but we're working on some improvements to make it more clear as to when your server is unavailable so you're not just sitting there hitting buttons.

Then theres obviously something wrong with your tickets too. I've sworn I've submitted them but have gotten nothing.

Well you got your full refund now so I don't think you should worry, especially after the approach you took on this post.

Anyways, I am thinking of renewing for a project I'm making, the control panel still hasn't lost it's shine.

Are you sure you actually submitted them? Like, they appear under your open tickets?

You'll have been emailed about tickets you logged - feel free to check your inbox and post some ticket IDs and I'll double check this. We use a 3rd party service that as good as guarantees email delivery so I'm very happy to say there are no issues whatsoever with the ticketing or email system.

I submitted a bug, but I never got anything back. Is that even the ticket service at all? Sorry, but it looks like I'm the one who's confused here. I got no confirmation that the ticket was sent.

You used the feedback button to submit a support request, some how you completely missed everything written about the support ticket system.

The idea of the support ticket system is that Ephi and I are alerted immediately to the problem and we can jump straight on it. It seems here that you're stuff talking the service for a severe case of user error. As per usual, servers don't just crash and have problems, it's almost always user error.

NVM: Found it.

Sorry for the inconvenience in me lashing out. I was just confused.
