So far, it's only for Debian and Debian variants.  Still pretty cool.

Supposedly all major distros have a port, but I can't confirm this.

I think there is a way to install .debs on other distros, but I'm not sure.

Also, Debian master race.

Yeah, there's a plugin for RPM, I don't imagine Steam has been tested with CentOS, Mandriva, or Fedora, though.

the beta users use a variety of distros.

Yeah they work on every linux really. I've been using it on Linux Mint fine.

Although i've not been able to download FTL, it just completes instantly and errors.

I would switch over to Linux Mint as my main OS if I could get Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas to work on it, now that Steam is being ported over.

tf2 is on linux i need that item now.

I got MTA to work on Linux through Wine, install the latest DirectX Runtime package and it should run.

Only for Debian? But I thought the were designing it for Ubuntu?

I tried for a few hours to get it to install. No matter what I did, MTA couldn't find San Andreas' directory.

Should run on SolusOS hopefully since that's based off Mint otherwise I'll just wait.

Every major distro has a port-- check your package manager.
