Lol please, do you even read the news? The news is constantly full of US shootings, I see shootings elsewhere so rarely.

By the rest of the world I mean the civilised western world (this includes America believe it or not).

Meanwhile in Africa or the Middle East or in plenty of other parts of the world there is still lots of horrible things going on. You seem to turn your nose up at reality very well.

Stopping crime will never happen, mass shootings of innocents are so much more devastating than most other crimes though.

I will never understand why people open fire on us, the same goes with paramedics I know. Firefighters and EMTs and the people you wanted to see rolling up to a scene. I was talking to one of my EMT friends and he was telling a story about how a man chased him and his partner with a kitchen knife.

Well everybody has been saying there is a large amount of people in America that are obsessed with guns, and I said it's rather harmless unless you're crazy. You go on to say criminals like to kill people, and that's obvious. It's not like everyone in America is a criminal, so that's not really the problem. Sure we have a rather large amount of criminals, but I'm not sure what we would do about that. We can't just change the mindset of all those criminals, unless we stepped up on security or something.

The problems lie in the disturbed few who happen to have access.
The problem is magnified by the media.

and if the criminal didnt have easy access to guns that would probably lower the chances of that even happening substantially. giving everyone a gun isnt at all a reasonable solution to stopping shootings. anyone with half a brain knows that wouldnt work.
