Alright, so my grandpa is giving me his custom built computer from 08; and I plan on upgrading the Mobo, CPU, RAM. and the video card. I know that you guys are better with this kind of stuff than me and I'd like to know if everything here works out, or if you had any suggestions on different hardware.

So basically you're building a whole new computer, just using the case and hdd? Is it an IDE hdd or a SATA, if it's IDE don't use it. I also doubt it has more than 300 or so gigs.

Pretty much, but the Hard Drive is from 2011.

You have a i5 2660k right? If you do, it shouldn't be bottlenecked if you get something like a 660ti.

There's an i7-2660K, but no i5. I have an i5-2310.

EVGA GTX 660 Ti requires a minimum of a 450-Watt power supply. The Intel i5-2310's Thermal Design Power is 95W (which I assume is 95-watts). That's 545 watts, I only have a 500 Watt PSU. Should I consider getting a better PSU?
