it's probably AMD pushing for Intel to step up their integrated graphics game. I was actually pretty surprised to find how well my 4690k's integrated graphics handled TF2 a while back.

while I'm here I'll mention the laptop my uncle gave me after he pulled it out of the dumpster. it's some dell ultrabook with a 2.6ghz fifth gen i7, 16gb ram, and a 250gb ssd. screen is busted but that's the only thing wrong with it. gonna replace the screen some day.

65 degrees at 100% load on an i5 3470, this ok (stock cooler)? gonna be slapping a tx3 evo on it shortly anyhow.

65C? That's 100% safe and will not pose any risk to the CPU whatsoever

ye thanks guys it went up to 67c today but i'd imagine that is ok too. still gonna be putting an aftermarket cooler on it anyway tho just cause i like low temps.

pulled a samsung mSata SSD out of a dumpster laptop find. used a sata adapter and connected it to my pc, far right.
left is my aged samsung 840 evo.
middle is a western digital green. it writes at ~30mb/s in practice.

I have 0 experience with computer (though I did get my current setup based on suggestions made in this thread, that was in like 2012 though), and my computer is loud as forget and I've recently gotten a newer graphics card but literally this piece of stuff sounds like a vacuum any time it's turned on. I'm not sure what to do to make it stop
help me budget this. my computer is dying

sounds like you need a new fan

I'd try to get a new cpu cooler and new case fans

do you have case fans? if so how many and where

managed to negotiate a higher budget with my dad for an entirely new cpu instead of reusing my old one, this also meant I don't have to stick with a micro ATX mobo and I can go full ATX. couldn't get the double monitor but I decided i'll just use my current one lying around, since it'll only be temporarily on for when im drawing in fullscreen but also want to look at other stuff. gonna be annoying with their different heights and specs but i'll manage

already paid for everything after running it through to my friends and a couple of other people, but for future reference any tips / things I should look out for?

I'd be careful using high profile memory and a Cooler Master cooler like a T4 / 212 Evo, try going with a Cryorig m9i / h7, those are designed to not interfere with ram whatsoever

Why go with a unlocked i5 with a h270

why h270?
This, if you want to OC, you need Z270. H270 doesn't support OC'ing
