That doesn't matter, there are other influential factors and the fact you most likely still boot from the SSD.

And yeah, that's been pretty obvious for a while now
Whatever, have fun with your stupid logic and your nice 5FPS boost.

I don't think it'd be a boost, more of it wont stutter, honestly I doubt it's really worth it unless you have the money, if you don't mind it there's no reason to get it.

I was just trying to help /you/ with your build and you turn it into all this.  I know that an SSD will increase performance in an $800 build.  why do all the sudden I have to be the starfish?  I don't want to be.  I don't want you guys to dislike me just because I don't agree with you.  I'm sorry that we disagree, I was only here to help.  I apologize for saying anything you disagreed with, Glass, if you want help putting together a build more engineered for the $650 price range I can redesign the build if you like.

What's the purpose of posting this?
oh stuff didn't mean to post that picture

Spent the entire day putting this together, can't believe the parts came this fast! Just waiting until I get enough money for the monitor, I started it up and it worked great! BIOS splashscreen this old dell monitor in our house worked before, but it doesn't work now. I'm hoping that if I use an HDMI cable and the new monitor, it'll work good. The old dell monitor is VGA and was a pain to get to work so I'm hoping it's that. It had some power saver stuff going on with it couldn't be bothered to fix it.

Please share your thoughts, comments, and questions! I'll take much nicer pictures of the finished product sometime.

Took you a whole day? Other than that, nice setup. Not bad.

it took me three days.

it took me 6 hours for my first build because I ripped out the gpu and power supply from my old computer since I upgraded those.

I just had a BSoD and it took me about 5 minutes to fix.
I did this:
Wait for the computer to restart after a blue screen
Run the computer in Safe Mode
Restart
Windows should automatically launch normally
Done

bumping a post

Can someone help me build a decent rig for around $600?

This is what I was getting previously: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Evar678/saved/1ZuM
Suddenly I have a $600 budget. So..

Most of it was just figuring out where to route all the cables, and about an hour was just spent trying to get the BIOS to pop up with the old monitor. I didn't really spend all day, the parts showed up at like 1:00 and I worked until 10:00.
