Author Topic: [MEGATHREAD] Personal Computer - Updated builds thanks to Logical Increments  (Read 1629886 times)

I've realized that, in my adventure to figure out if I wanted a PS4 or Xbox One that the only logical choice would be to just build a PC.

The costs will eventually even out (Pretty much) and the PC will be good for my video editing and game capturing.
So with the job I will be getting (hopefully) Im going to start saving money over the summer that way maybe as a birthday gift to myself Ill build my own PC.

Pretty excited. So I think Im going to stop buying games for my xbox, and start figuring out stuff to sell to help raise money.

One tip I'll give you that I'm just assuming you don't know considering it sounds like you've never built your own before. Don't even bother picking out any parts other than the case before buying your parts. The cost of parts drop and rise so what you may have decided on earlier may be replaced with a better version or no longer worth the money. Also do a lot of research on everything you buy, not just reviews, look at the specs of everything.

Will do. Hoping to get a lot of help from you guys because I havent built a computer before.

The only question I have is, I play a lot online (Call of Duty, Battlefield, a couple others) and Im wondering how many people play online compared to consoles?

From my experience, computer gaming is a lot more difficult. You have more control with a mouse and can get far more precise than with a gamepad. So yea, it's quite a change but it's not that hard once you get used to it.

driving is better on consoles, due to the joystick. shooting is better on computers, due to the mouse.

He mentioned two shooters so I gave him info on what the shooters are like. But yea, driving games are usually better on gamepads.

There isn't a crazy amount, but there's enough to the point where it won't feel empty.

The number of gamers are fine.

I got my NZXT Hue installed after getting frustrated that it took 10 days to get it processed I cancelled my order and went it got it from MicroCenter and as well at the same time two Corsair AF140 fans.

I recorded a video demonstrating colors and modes in my case:

does it come with color-changing lights or is that a separate accessory

You can use a game controller with a pc, but you can't use a mouse and keyboard with a console

Yes you can. I've seen some addon that does it for xbox and ps3

When I had a xbox 360 I was able to use my keyboard on it.

I looked it up, and apparently you can use any USB m+k with a ps3. It does depend on whether or not the game has support for the controls though, and that's more what I was getting at though my previous statement was technically incorrect

Nope it's all included with the Hue, it's a little 5.25 inch bay accessory you use to change stuff.
