help guys i just came on my keyboard and now F8 doesnt work! i need a replacement

but seriously, i need to find a cherry mx brown, full sized mechanical keyboard
I have this keyboard, it's pretty nice. Nothing fancy though.

However, the actual physical memory of the card is 3gb versus 6gb, no this is not a huge difference but when it comes to being able to have that extra 20 FPS, in a gamers world it DOES matter.

/facepalm

VRAM does not effect FPS unless your running a larger resolution than something like 1920x1080 or 1920x1200. People who believe that the more vram you have the more fps you get are handicapped.

You missed my next post, I was saying the memory was double because it is a dual card, it is the equivalent of two 7970's put together.

I was just saying that $1500 is not needed for the power you're getting. I wasn't talking about the looks. Sure the cooling idea is nice, the design is well done, but it's not worth that much. Especially since there are GPUs out there that are better and a lot cheaper with the good looks (if you care about it). GTX 690 being a prime example. I get it that it's limited edition but I think the price could have been $1000 or even less.

Except the ARES II only takes up two expansion slots, the same as a stock 690. When you compress components of quality, the price is going to go up (see: every laptop made ever)

Looking for a decent wireless card. It doesn't need to be magical, I don't know why one wireless card could be better than another anyway.

Budget is $40, try to make it lower though. :P

do those multimedia keys make it so you can't use function keys in game? like going into 3rd person in minecraft?

Only if you have the FN lock on.

You can change that in the BIOS though

So I'm thinking somewhere down the road I'm going to upgrade my GPU. I know of GPUs stronger than my current one, but I'm worried about bottlenecking. How can I tell whether or not my CPU is going to bottleneck my GPU?

My specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel Core i5-2310 CPU @ 2.9Ghz (4 CPUs)
8GB RAM
AMD HD Radeon 6850

I'm looking to upgrade the 6850 to something, like maybe a 5970. Though I'm not sure what details to compare between my CPU and GPU to see if it's going to bottleneck.

forget it. Just found out my motherboard does have a PCI 3.0 x16 slot. So I'm just going to wait until I really need to upgrade, or until there is a sale and get a i5 3350P and GTX 660.

I don't actually think I need 300mbps.. (my internet's speed is like 15mbps)

Does this one look ok?

Sure go ahead.
