actually the person I'm getting this build for is currently doing a mail in rebate on a pink case she bought right now lmao

Hmm, basically the best harddrive maxing $119, I guess. But I'd rather not be on the max. I don't know which has good specs.

Im pretty sure a 600 watt power supply isnt enough power for a 3570k, 8gb of ram, a basic cpu cooler, asrock z77 motherboard, and a 660ti; right?
It will work, i'm running that exact same cpu, mobo and ram with 600w right now. Plus I have a gtx670 and an aftermarket cpu cooler. It'll work fine!

Just took a look at the OP and I have a quick question.

Does it matter if my power supply is at the BOTTOM of my case rather than the top...?

Is this a question? I don't really understand what you're asking. Are you looking for a decent hdd?

Whatever case you own will have a specific area for the power supply. On the computer I'm using now it's at the bottom, my old PC has it in the top, doesn't really make a difference

Okay thank you lol

A decent harddrive with a reasonable price. They have all these special specifications when I check them, and although I assume they don't make much difference if any, I'd like to be sure with you guys. I'd rather get something overly efficient for the future than efficient enough for the present. I know, that's a lot of conflicts considering the price range.

I have no clue what hard drives you're talking about. None of them have special features unless it's a hybrid drive. Any hdd thats 7200rpm, is the size you need, has a price you're okay with, and has decent reviews on newegg or whatever site you're ordering from is fine. They're all pretty much the same, except for build quality.

Well they like to tack on different things for each harddrive, so I wasn't sure if they were actually, somehow making a difference with it. I still would trust your specific decisions more than my own. I don't want to forget myself over in some way - I'm not much into hardware.

Like I said, any Western Digital Caviar Black drive will both perform well and last a long time for a perfectly reasonable price
