ok NOW I see this topic.. wow

I wanna try to overclock my processor. I'm not sure if doing it will actually make it better for me to run gta 4 cause it lags a lot.

I have a really good graphics card so i doubt that is the problem

I'm not sure on this stuff so I would need to know.

If there is some extra space on a ram to trim off so it can fit in a slot, Could I do it?

You aren't going to get close to running it smoothly. We also don't know what your gpu is so I'll just assume it's a 4200 or something similar.
Also, don't touch the ram. You might have an older motherboard and newer ram, if you cut it it wouldn't work at all.

My motherboard is weird because it has a PCI slot that holds good grapgics cards but an AM2 slot for processor. It pisses me off.

That's really normal for a motherboard, back when Althlon's were used, there were not so powerful graphics cards that were used.

like, every single motherboard nowadays, even if it is horrible or it is good, has a pci slot

nothing weird about it?...

I tried looking up a good processor but my slot only holds a single core

i know, but having low capacity RAM with high speed wont be very helpful.
1600mhz isn't high speed RAM, it's pretty standard...

most typical computers usually don't have above 1333mhz ram

i have 2x8gb ram?...

and that is alot
what the forget do you want me to do??
i have good speedy ram, and lots of it

what is the problem here

there is an audio input thing. how would i combobulate it so i can utilize it, since i'm using vga dvi

should a ASRock Z77 Extrem motherboard be able to work with a Intel Quad Core 3750k i5 processor (Ivy Bridge) LGA1155?

Looking at the board, it says it's socket is 1155, so yes, it would.

They're really more of a budget brand. Because you're getting a 3750k i5 it might be best to not cheap out on one. Since you're probably thinking of overclocking, getting a non stock cooler might be good because I've heard that CPU has heat problems when overclocked.
