I've been looking around for some more information on the individual models of the GTX 760. I'm split between two of them for my computer, they're both the same price so it all comes down to which one is the truly better card.

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperClocked-Dual-Link-Graphics-02G-P4-2765-KR/dp/B00DHW4HXY/

I heard somewhere that the MSI card runs quieter (sound is not a huge concern), but also that the EVGA is slightly better in terms of performance. Does anyone have and input on an ideal preference?

That is a great price for an overclocked 760. If the 760 has the better performance rate then get that one.

I couldn't find it in task manager. Also I am running a virus scan right now No viruses found. I am using SAS for virus protection

It popped up again. I opened the file location in task manager and it goes to this file

Well a 780 or a 690 is a better solo card, right? But yes, I would just build a rig that is at the top of what you would need today and then upgrade it every couple of years. You'd get as much power as you need, much way better value and it would last way longer.
That's because they're dual gpu's, and take up two expansion slots
The titan has the fastest existing single gpu, and it can fit into just one expansion slot

Upload the file to a virus testing site like virus total and see what the detection rate is.

Security essentials and SAS didn't detect any viruses on it when I scanned it.

the detection rate is 14 / 46

The whole folder vanished. The window that was open to view the files was put into temp and when I go back it shows an error that its no longer there or something

Delete it asap if its not important. Its probably a virus.

Yup. I was just asking because I actually had $10000 to spend freely (no, I don't deal drugs).
One thing about getting an expensive computer is that the components and technology get replaced by better products almost every year, and some of my friends are really frustrated with how their Alienware computer became pretty much standard-spec after few years.
Is there something better?
I'm not one to talk about spening money. But if you spend $10,000 on a computer you are completly handicapped. Start saving with that money. Even a $10,000 computer will be outdated Within a few years so it's really a waste.

You've probably have already all seen this but it's pretty funny.

^ I had to read it twice but then I laughed

Not sure if I get it cause I've never used a AMD

AMD drivers tend to be handicapped and nvidia's run hot

The open source drivers work fine with my AMD devices :cookieMonster:
