forget that. I don't want to be getting a used CPU that might not even work.
You'll be fine as long as you get it from a top-rated seller. I bought mine on Ebay and so far it works like a charm.
One thing you'll have to keep in mind though is the heat output. Laptops generally have very limited cooling, so make sure the TDP of your new CPU isn't too much higher than your old one.

My laptop has an APU. If I get a different CPU will I also get a different integrated GPU with it?

Should I be concerned if I'm playing jc2mp and its at 80c?
if so, how can I lower it

CPU ==> yes
GPU ==> not really, no

That's pretty bad. The only think I can really suggest is to increase your fan speed or get a new fan.

I have an 8320 with a hyper 212 evo and it got to like 60
I've done a little research and apparently its normal for a 770 to do that with its "GPUboost"

it goes from this on idle
to like 80 on gpu and 60 on cpu

how hot would a gpu need to be to start worrying?

80 isn't too bad for a high-end gpu

Yeah, I think so, but I don't even know about APU's very much.

Above 85C for most gpus, above 95C for hawaii cards

Only if the CPU you get is another APU.  if you just get a standalone processor with no integrated graphics, and you don't also have a standalone GPU, you're gonna have a bad time.

it looks like any other video card. not sure what you mean.

but it certainly dosnt suck. it out performs the standard 780ti very very well.
and its not even about the stock specs. this thing was custom designed for overclocking. it will outperform the titan hands down.
