Author Topic: [MEGATHREAD] Personal Computer - Updated builds thanks to Logical Increments  (Read 1631154 times)

It's funny because Mack made this thread because Ethan stopped updating it and now Mack is doing the same thing. Computermegathread V3 incoming.
Yeah, I think we might need a new thread

I'm still working on the thread, guys.

I just have work and stuff, but mainly I need someone to do an update on builds

The problem is that every time someone (me) makes a new build list it gets outdated well before you actually put it into the OP

I can contribute to $900+ builds, i'm just not the best with budget builds.

How is this for a headset? http://www.walmart.com/ip/Cyber-Acoustics-Educational-Series-Stereo-Headset-with-Boom-Mic-AC-960/14277830 I need a new headset and I'm getting paid back tomorrow, my current headset it really messed up.

Also as for PSUs, how do you know if a psu will work with your MoBo? Or will just about any PSU work with most Motherboards?

headset sucks, plus why in the hell are you buying from walmart
and the for the psu part, modern psu's work with pretty much any modern motherboard

I'm using walmart because my dad doesn't trust other companies since Corsair forgeted me over. I have no choice now.

Whats a good headset thats around $20? And it has to be on walmart.com as stated above.

newegg? amazon? perfectly legit websites? they also allow returns?

Theres no other option. Also if I hit $50 on walmart i can get free shipping. I already have my PSU on there which takes care of $33

lol, not trusting amazon. worst bullstuff i have ever seen
im not even going to come close to that walmart junk, you must be completely out of your mind to buy computer parts from there

Not my fault, I can try to talk to my dad about it but I'm not sure how well that will work.

amazon is one of the biggest companies in the world. almost everything my family buys besides food comes from there. how the hell can you "not trust it"?

Why are you asking me? I can trust it, its my dad who wants me to go with Walmart.
I got lucky I was able to talk him into letting me make a custom-built PC. He originally wanted to go with dell parts or a prebuilt from ebay.

show him a comparison of the 2 websites. and pull up some random video card, and how its more than 100 dollars overpriced on walmart, for like every part
seriously, a gtx 770 on amazon for 320 goes for 460 on walmart
total bs

Well, a PSU at walmart is only $33 (with a warranty)
