would a gtx 760 be good for gaming in 1440p?
Probably not, no

when i used a single 770-classified, it wasnt enough for bf4 ultra on 1440p.
never got higher then 40fps

you should check out my previous post ;D
Nah, this 750W one I have was just replaced, besides, international shipping would be a bitch

What expansion slot types do you have free? If you've got a PCIe x1 free, I'd recommend this.
Yeah I have one of those free, thanks!

Can someone tell me where the hell can I get the model no and the series no of a Compaq Deskpro? All I can find is the serial no and it's useless without the model and series numbers. I blew the PSU and I'm trying to get a replacement but no model number, no correct PSU.

If the model number is printed on the case it should be on the outside; if it isn't, then you're probably out of luck. Also, shouldn't the serial number contain that information already? AFAIK it's unique to every hardware configuration, unless Compaq re-used old serials.

Compaq reused old serials. The only thing on the case is the serial no, the 220v warning and a stamp that says the following:

HH
JUNE 13 1998
QCD31

Microsoft Windows 98
Intel Pentium Inside

Compaq Deskpro

Well, then you're probably out of luck unless you can wire up a standard ATX PSU. You could always pick up an old computer from the street if you don't need anything more than an ISA slot.
I did do some research on Web Archive, but couldn't do much since I don't know what your computer looks like. Here's a link if you're interested: http://web.archive.org/web/19990128222346/http://www.compaq.com/products/desktops/

I found an image of it.

It looks just like this except that it's not the EN series. It's Series PD1005. Model 179038-007. Serial 6927BW440067.

I just noticed, when I flipped it, that the model and series information is on the underside. I will loving kill someone. Two days trying to get the series no. from this stuff. I'm searching for it on google but nothing pops out. =\

These are what we used in 5th and 6th grade. They had win98 on them.

This one has Windows 98 and some MS-DOS games. I blew the PSU yesterday after a power surge and I'm looking for a replacement.

EDIT:
Compaq, why are you a pain in the ass? I found 3 different numbers around the motherboard and the case that look like a model number.
179038-007 On the bottom of the PC
178929-001 On the inside of the PC's cover
179038-001 On the motherboard

Just ask around in your neighborhood for old computers; with a little luck you can find a similar or better system.

I tried using my other PC's PSU but it just emits a loud beep and the "On" light flickers on/off. Seems like there's no other choice. I'm 100% certain that it uses an ATX PSU.

In general, why is AMD so much cheaper than Nvidia and Intel stuff?

The AMD processors aren't as high quality as Intel, but still have better price:performance ratio.
Overall, AMD just knows that people are gonna chose the cheaper of two equal performing products. Only thing NVidia really has on its AMD equivalent GPU is the PhysX.
