Anyone know of cases with hidden PSUs and a side window? Only ones I know of are the NZXT H440, NZXT S340, and Phanteks Enthoo Pro. I like all of those cases, and right now I'm leaving towards the Enthoo because it has 5.25 inch bays. I either need those or I need to spend less on the case and get an external drive. Rather not spend more than $100, so unfortunately the H440 is too expensive.

for my h440, i just hid a slim, slot-in dvd writer/reader on the inside somewhere.
so once every 6 months when i absolutely need to pop in a disk of some sort, i can just open it up for 5 min.

we use mechanical keyboards at work oh my god theyre amazing
i need to find out what switch it is so i can buy one

I'm pretty sure you can just slip a key off and literally look at the color, at least that's what I've seen with Cherry MX switches

i think its brown and blue that require you to completely press all the way down before it lets it return back up.
thats why these types are loud and clicky.
but i think they work best for competitive shooters because they have a longer pressure push, so if you are a twitch player, you can instinctively hold keys half down (without realizing) and react way faster because like every key's "hammer" so to speak, can be held to the last millisecond.

pretty much

there's nothing wrong with an external disk drive either, they're not that expensive

yah

Problem is I'll be using it at least once a day during the week, sometimes more. I'm taking a class that's about movies, and I need to be able to watch the disks on my PC. My math, which is on my computer, is in a disk form as well.

Since I'll probably be asking for a case for Christmas, I still have a while to pick and choose. I think my parents think it'd be stupid for me to get a slightly cheaper case (the S340) and plus an external drive, seeing as I just bought the 5.25" drive.

Tell them that getting a pc case with an optical drive bay in this day and age is like getting a computer in like the late 90s with a floppy drive.

The external will work, plus if you need it somewhere else, for a laptop or whatever, you can move it.

Looks like all of my parts will get here by Friday, though I might have to wait until Monday for my keyboard and monitor since I didn't order them until this afternoon

I can't contain my excitement

Know that feeling. Looking forward to it in a few months.

Make sure to enjoy it. :)

mmm. i know its better. but its not heaps better then what i got. it may not be worth upgrading till like a similar tier of mine; 970 classified type comes out to sli again. its a good middle ground for me to not waste money on top of the line models that instantly outdate, or to soon to miss out on ti/superclocked/classified types.

also wtf at no longer 800 series lol

I want to see someone with a louder keyboard then mine lol

Yay, tech that none of us (cept Bisjac) will have for years! :)

osht! i was wrong!
nerds online are talking about customs being launched alongside the base models tomorrow as well. some already ordering from somewhere (i cant find where)
apparently 970 superclocked versions are running at 350 bucks.

evga 970 classified? :D *prays

I think they decided for 800 series to remain as a mobile series.

Case came today, everything else is on schedule for tomorrow but there's no ETA on my keyboard and monitor which I'm afraid means I'll have to wait until Monday, unless by some miracle they deliver them on Saturday

It's like trying to sleep on Christmas Eve as a kid
