He's clearly on a budget that only allows him to get a GTX 750 Ti and you're advising that he gets an i7? Not a better GPU or a more recent i5 such as the 4690k? An i7 is his most immediate concern?

yah this

Don't get an i7. That will have such a huge bottleneck with the GPU. In fact, I might even go so far as to say get a newer i3 and a better GPU if it's for gaming.

goddamnit my 760's ACX cooler is going bad. makes this terrible grinding noise when the fans spin up and it drives me loving insane.

thankfully evga has a 3 year warrenty on it but i have to put down full price for a replacement until they get my old one.

i hate fans. they suck. they make lots of noises when they get old and it's loving annoying.

well, fans that arent on the GPU and PSU are super easy and cheap t replace. Dont know if its possible to change gpu fans without voiding the warranty.

gpu fans like mine i can surprisingly swap out just because you can put a huge waterblock on it and use it in a open loop water cooling system.

there's no sticker on the screws saying i can't take it off...but i'll stick with the warranty. hell, it might solve my coil whine problem too with a replacement ;)

titan 2 confirmed 12g memory.

When I make a server on any game no one can join but when they make one (and no they don't portforward) everyone can join just fine. I just moved into a new place and I don't remember if I have to do any default port forwarding to get games to work (we all use Hamachi).

Semester ends in less than three weeks and I'm gonna build that computer I was talking about. Start giving me some build ideas within the $2600 price range. The only thing I'm picky about is that I want one of the gtx 900 series cards.

really? i7 and gtx 750 bottleneck? i don't believe you!

besides if its anything you want to improve its the gpu. that's the real deal behind gaming. the cpu doesn't do as much or anything really.
