I'm gonna need another 8gb stick of ram if I'm going to be able to play The Witcher 3/R6 while listening to podcasts/music, anyone know where I can get one for the best price?I probably don't know that I'm talking about but with two RX 480s I feel like you'd be getting diminishing returns unless you are running some stuff like maxed out GTA V at 4k. But I probably don't know what I'm talking about.
It's probably better to buy a bigger GPU than two weaker GPU's just because not many games support Crossfire/SLI.

I hate to say this, but, I kinda like the 2016 Macbook Pro.  The keyboard is kinda strange feeling for typing and the trackpad looks and feels oversized, but overall it's rather nice feeling to use and even has a very nice display.

imo the macbook is good, but they threw out convenience out the window with the connectivity being forced to only 1 plug which is an apple-proprietary

actually it's just a type-C USB port. with some additions that make it faster with other devices that have the same additions. but it's still just USB-C
regular USB-C devices will work with it, at normal USB-C speeds

still kind of weird to leave behind regular USB ports. but it isn't really all that proprietary

LOL there is this kid at my school who keeps telling me he has a chromebook that he "modified" (changing os and using an external storage device) and claims the thing can run GTA V, Fallout 4, and all of those AAA titles "better than console." He also keeps claming because the software is different that means it makes the laptop run faster, and he also claims that the fact you can't swap out laptop cpus with desktop ones is "bullstuff"

Holy hell /discuss

slide his chromebook into traffic say it's another cool modification

will do

Also another funny thing is I've seen it in action, his chromebook can barely keep a stable 15 fps on happy wheels on a very low demanding level

loving lol

What?
You can put a desktop size cpu in a laptop
Just solder it on  :cookieMonster:

i fixed my laptop's headphone port successfully without screwing up the rest of the laptop

well i didn't fix it really, i replaced the board that has that on it
i found the same thing that i had already on ebay for like 13 bucks so why the forget not
and i replaced it myself by taking the other one out and putting the not broken one in

the only thing i've replaced in this thing was the hard drive for an ssd but other than that i've never replaced hardware before

Reminds me I once tried to replace the horrible wireless adapter with another Intel one I salvaged from my old laptop but it didnt fit...

Took ages to take apart too :(
Oh well

It's a standard port with a proprietary standard on it that retains standard compatibility with the standard standard. Standard standards standard standard standards standard. Standard.

we need another standard for these standard standards
