Of course, but there are people all over the world that check in at 8 and then work till 6 and would give their left loving leg to make $200,000 a year.
Mmhmm, there are. We're no more entitled to that money than they are, but the fact of the matter is that in the end you're still taxing people that much of their income away. And for what? Currently in our conversation it's been kind of assumed it's for wealth redistribution, but that's not true. Yes, lower income people do get aid from tax dollars, but that's not what a majority of our money goes to. It goes to superfluous government organizations that have absolutely no reason to exist. By cutting useless government programs the government can save a buttload of money AND be able to lower taxes for everybody. There's no doubt about it, the government needs tax dollars to operate. But currently, the government's got a hand in every honey pot.

I personally think that people who receive government aid should be drug tested on a regular basis.

Yes, this is exactly correct. Our current government is stuff and needs to be fixed. However, this is not going to happen, essentially ever. Unless we break from our stuffty two party system and instead have more parties with more influence.

In order to fix our government, we need congressmen with differing opinions. We need some Green people, we need some Libertarians and we need Peace and Freedom and all that stuff.

Without this, it will just be, someone lays down a bill, and then everyone says no. And so nothing will be done.

I personally think that people who receive government aid should be drug tested on a regular basis.
Well, think how much money that would cost. Would it cost more money to test hundreds of thousands of people, or let two thousand people just get away with it?

Also I'm not trying to pick more of a fight than I already have, but someone making 200k a year qualifies for most of the highest tax brackets (they're something like the top 2-3%) so that person working their ass off from 8 to 6 would still be paying 30-40% tax in the scenario I provided.

They still have at least $130,000 after taxes, which I'm sure many Chinese Workers would kill their neighbor for.

Life in China is also cheaper. Don't get me wrong, a huge part of it is still impoverished, but you can't compare the two because the average chinese worker would kill for $20k a year.

What are these "useless" programs?

This is true.

My example above would be $365 a day, $36.5 an hour, which is 3x the minimum wage in California. That is living very comfortably, maybe in a loft or even purchasing a house after a while.

Edit:
What are these "useless" programs?
Plus 3/4 of every dollar sent to the Military.

Honestly, the two-party system sucks balls because there are better candidates out there than the two imbeciles we got this time around. The sad things really are;
A. These candidates have 0 chance because they can't even appear in debates
B. People vote without knowing jack about the election, they make their decision in the booth

I'm so happy to see you. I'm literally the only person here with non-liberal economic views.

I'm here now, so that makes two of us

Coincidence? I think not!

Literally took a two second google.
That's terrible, but it's fund misappropriation. The problem lies where belief is not held that problems can be fixed.

If he has an informed opinion, which I believe he does, there's no problem with it. You should really try harder if you want to call anyone out for anything.
