I know what the internet thinks because I was the one looking in for the longest of time. Only since last week have I looked out.
Also, MLP is the same level of "girlyness" as cute dogs and cats and stuff are. That is why a lot of us like it. The characters are cute and funny (cute not in attraction terms). We can d'aww at something new every week and have fun with the story. Oh what, guys aren't allowed to think things are cute? Way to be super macho man, I hope your shallow and one tracked female relationships go well.
