Heck yeah. When I would get new games when I was younger, my parents would kick me off of whatever I was playing it on because I would have to go to bed. I would then spend the next ~30 minutes reading the instruction booklet.

One complaint I do have about ACNL is I really wish they'd start you off with a smaller museum and expand it as your collection does, each area has several large sections right off the bat and when you've only donated a few things it's hard to track them down

I suppose it's to give you a scale of all the different things you can find but it's a bit overwhelming

I was considering it since I love to make them but having no previous Animal Crossing background and the intention of playing it at least somewhat blind greatly hinders my ability to do so

it's just torture

though i'm also forcing said torture until myself, as i purchased the New Leaf 3DS XL bundle for my mother (early surprise birthday present) and we both (sibling and me) are not going to play until it arrives (4-7 days ;_;). she is also in hysterics over the wait (her birthday is at the end of the month and she's a big AC-fan), but at least she'll be surprised when she gets it early and we all play the new game together

Idk it just seems easier.  In the past AC games there was a megathread and everyone's friend codes were in the OP with their town info.

Yea I remember Wild World and City Folk both had one when they came out

I could never get into City Folk...but I loved Wild World to death.
