Never thought I'd be saying "holy stuff, those graphics!" at a nintendo game, haha.
Me neither.
Are you like twelve or something?

I'm just saying, Nintendo hasn't really been impressive in the graphics department. This time around, it actually made you notice how much effort they put into those sparks, haha.

Obviously graphics don't make the game, but they're a big part of it, whether you like it or not. By graphics, I don't really mean high polygon counts either, just something that is appealing to the eyes.

Yes the have, every console except the Wii had impressive graphics (at the time).

Well I'm actually 15 soon, but that's unrelated.

Nintendo has impressed me in the past on consoles like the Wii U and 3DS since they had really limited resources to work with, but still managed to pull off really aesthetically impressive games. Now that we have the Wii U and its upcoming games with more resources for Nintendo to work with, the Nintendo titles look really good, Not just "for a Nintendo console", but for games in general and that impresses me a whole lot.

My point was that you'd be too young to remember the pre-Wii Nintendo.

I know. I have a NES and SNES, but the "major graphical differences" don't show up until N64 era.

EDIT: If Princess Peach is a playable character in Super Mario 3D world, What is the story going to be about?

Having a system =/= being around during it's day

For the record, my first ever console was an N64. Not sure what kind of point you're trying to make here.

Game systems are made out of plastic, not out of organic material that molds up with time. I had the same experience with those games as people in the 1980's.

No you didn't, you weren't there when they were new, when they were the cutting-edge of graphics. My experience is vastly different that yours.

there's a difference between aesthetics and graphics
nintendo has always had amazing aesthetics - but not necessarily the technically best graphics

The Super Nintendo was better than the Genesis
The N64 was better than the Playstation
The Gamecube was better than the PS2
All in terms of graphics of course

The Super Nintendo was better than the Genesis
I wouldn't know all too well, but I'll just say that there wasn't much of a difference here.

The N64 was better than the Playstation
I owned both and I slightly disagree.

The Gamecube was better than the PS2
Again, I owned both, and this is bullstuff.
