I will quote it so that people who probably missed it gets the point:
It's probably Nintendo's solution to the expensive price of the 3DS systems and Wii U. I think this would make a great gift to family and friends who couldn't afford the 3DS.
Another thing I wanted to add was that the design will seem weird for a while, but everyone will get used to it sooner or later. I mean, if you look back to previous Nintendo systems, many people probably thought the stuff like the Gameboy Advance or the first Wii U Gamepad were odd. Now sure the Gamepad has changed a bit, but most of the stuff is still the same.
