Hey guys - my Wii U has a flashing blue light and it won't start up.

Anyone know what this means? From what I've read online it's supposedly bricked and needs to be sent in for repair, but my mother who knows nothing about game consoles is telling me it is 100% okay and I am not allowed to send it in.

I'm tempted to get Treasure Tracker since I can afford it, but I also want Mario Kart 8. I'm not gonna get Mario Kart 8 for a quite a while and then I have Smash Bros. which is keeping me occupied as it is. Should I buy Treasure Tracker?
