I'm going to assume that most Syrian infantry is still armed with the AKM still.
A gun that can be easily obtained by Rebels.
Syria doesn't sound that well off.
...you clearly never read the news
the government has been doing airstrikes, have tanks etc etc.....
the rebels have dated weaponry and improvised explosives at best

I meant that Syria is poor. It's easily believable that the Rebels are losing.

and you must not read the news often because the rebels in syria have been continuously getting their stuff kicked in

third world is a useless term because angola is supposedly a first world country when it's just a generic poor african nation

and no the rebels are doing pretty well, they've had a lot of defections to them

Did you know Dianne Feinstein owns a concealed carry permit and a handgun. Concealed Carry permits are extremely hard to get here in a California. Doesn't make the anti-gun group look good when the lady who is trying to get rid of assault weapons has one herself. She is pro-capital punishment.

The US has nukes, but doesn't want any other countries to have them. Politicians have armed body guards, but they don't citizens to have guns to protect themselves. The Military accidently blows up schools, homes, and guns people down in every war, but the politicians are convinced that a red neck can turn suicidal and kill a bunch of school kids with an AR15. Only insane people kill children.

Its already against the law to kill people unless its self defense, which you can get you arrested you kill the criminal if he is fleeing from your property. It's already illegal to bring weapons to public places like movie theatres.

syria isn't some poor dirt-beating country in africa it has an infrastructure

the rebels are winning pretty well
Still, compare the Syrian military to that of the U.S..

why are you talking about third world?? i never said anything about third world

and no... the rebels are not doing well. unless you consider "doing pretty well" to be taking massive casualties and getting no closer to taking down the government

and no the rebels are doing pretty well, they've had a lot of defections to them
Are you sure your parents just aren't still talking about Libya?

Do you go outside often?
I do go outside often, and I'm not talking about illegal gun buying, because that's bullstuff. I'm talking about 100% legal purchases.

Most deaths resulting from gunshots are actually Self Deletes, which although tragic, isn't really a crime.

Banning guns because people use them to kill each other and themselves is a silly prospect, because;

A.) confiscating every legal gun in the country would cost a ridiculous sum of money and would only take away guns from legal owners, nevermind the multitudes of illegal guns

B.) that wouldn't stop people from killing each other. There are more ways than one to kill another human, and if someone wants to kill someone else, they'll be dead one way or another.

My point is, if a third of all households in the United States (legally) own guns, and about a quarter of all people in this country smoke, smoking results in 443,000 deaths per year, in 2005 only 10,100 homicides were committed using firearms. If you truly wanted to save people, why not ban smoking first? You'll save 40 times as many people, and you'll improve general health and air quality as well. People target guns for the wrong reasons.

dont know what you were going on about there, i was just calling you out for saying guns are the most regulated consumer good
they're far from it
food, medications, etc are vastly more regulated. infact they have their own agency dedicated to regulating them, the FDA

as far as the content of your most recent post:
A) no one ever suggested confiscating all guns. you just limit sales, and the number of guns slowly decreases
B) no stuff. the idea is that it's much easier to kill someone with a gun, and guns have NO PURPOSE other than killing. sure, you can kill someone with a screwdriver, but there's more reasons to own a screwdriver than to kill people.

and it'd be dumb to ban smoking because that effects the smoker and is a personal choice. smoking IS banned on public property.

Are you sure your parents just aren't still talking about Libya?

are you sure you aren't dumb

why are you talking about third world?? i never said anything about third world

first world/third world is the same useless naming system that doesn't have anything to do with the prosperity of a nation and you brought it up

you say this as if someone buys guns simply to kill people, what if you just want a cool gun.
I'm gonna put you on slow roast for a while.

because this has anything to do with firstworld/thirdworld garbage?
yeah, it'll demonstrate the distinct differences between first, second, and third world countries

fun fact: england has a higher violent crime rate than the USA and weapons of any kind are illegal to own in England.
