There is never going to be a violent action. So far, China is just getting pissed and nobody will risk invading a spot right on China's doorstep. China could hate NK with a red-hot passion but they will still disapprove of the idea of having a superpower (presumably the US) with an opposing ideology occupying a neighbor. Let Kim Jong-un sit there yelling like a child that just learned to swear, just like what his dad did. It'll take them forever to get a decent supply of surplus-quality nuclear weapons and by then we'll have better stuff.

USA cannot be nuked. No country in the world can target the US with ICBMs and no country besides the US still has operation nuclear submarines on the US coastline.

As bad as it sounds, if North Korea nuked anybody it would be Japan, simply because it's the heart of US Pacific naval operations and it's the USA's single biggest Asian ally. Even so, China would be given an excuse to annex North Korea and seize their nuclear weapons; China expands it's borders and strengthens it's nuclear arsenal, and they would look like heroes. It'd be a field day for them.


North Korea cannot and will not ever do anything with their nukes that won't result in the total destruction of their nation.

china puts up with NK's crap because they want a buffer from yet another border US-friendly nation. china can pretend to be pissed over and over whenever NK makes an aggressive move, but in reality they dont care.

russia is having the same issue against nato right now on all it's borders. the old soviet states allowing us to put up a missile shield around the RU.
