Am I the only one that thinks the races should have visual/gameplay differences?
Why should they all be humanoid.
I don't mind them all being humanoid, as I see it as a sort of convergent evolution.
For the Glitch it might be that a humanoid design is best suited for them, or that other humanoids were observed and mimicked.
The Hylotl fit this the least though, as I wouldn't expect a humanoid form to develop from an aquatic race.
Novakid are more difficult to explain away. There's no reason why they should be humanoid, but it doesn't make it impossible for them to be humanoid.
I wouldn't mind if there were more physical differences between the races, though. Like if one race was shorter/taller, or had extra arms (consider having 4 arms, allowing for the use of 2 two-handed weps), or wings or antennae, etc...
Gameplay wise I hope they do implement some changes to better fit the races, as has been discussed before.
Glitch shouldn't be capable of being poisoned, or necessarily taking bleeding damage.
Florans should take extra fire damage, but say, be able to photosynthesis when above ground, meaning they refill food or similar.
Apex should be faster and jump higher.
Hylotl shouldn't drown, and should be good for swimming.
Novakid should produce light and/or heat (warming nearby players and allowing them to resist the cold, perhaps provided they have eaten enough or have enough health).
