Mod hunting.
I'll maybe give the game a second chance if I can make some nice builds with mods.

1. Need good building blocks.

2. Interesting stuff you can use the wire tool with.

3. Other then Avali, can someone name two race mods that are original ideas?
No Furries, slight Human changes, or races based off other Games/Stories/Movies.
(Why? Races usually come with their own themed blocks.)

4. "Remove the outpost progression" the mod... Or I end up cheating.

I highly doubt these were mods, but I remember seeing some unique race ideas a long time ago. One was oil blob gangsters, and another was rocks. I can't remember what either was called.

So is this game worth getting at all? I know the development is really sketchy from what I've heard, but the game itself doesn't seem that terrible right now. How modable is it?

I'm thinking I'm just going to go ahead and buy it.
$10 is the most I'd spend on something like this, and it doesn't seem to go on sale often, so not sure when my next chance will be.

They were both, again, anthropomorphic edits

What Emgiell meant was, something that wasn't human shaped.

With Avali, they had a unique sprite that made it so that other race's clothes will not work well on them

Only if you want to get "Creative mode mods" and build.
The action/exploration part of the game is very lacking and gets old fast.
