Risk of Rain is heading into closed Beta. It is also now on Steam Greenlight, so I urge you to give them the thumbs up if you like the game. Demo 1.0.1 is allegedly the last free version of the game, though once the Kickstarter page is up you will be able to pre-purchase the finished product through one of the backing options and be entered into the closed Beta.

I asked the devs about the progress on the Kickstarter page via Twitter and they responded an hour ago that they are "writing as we speak", so you can look forward to that relatively soon.

The devs say the Kickstarter is "almost ready", hopefully they mean that. I've already unlocked all the items in the demo and got tired of it, I need some new stuff.

Why not do something creative and unusual like Charcoal drawings or uh.. a light show? Laser wire frame 2D graphics style?
