It'll probably pick up when the beta comes out and there's new content. There's only so much to do in the current build.

There's less than 48 hours left to make your pledge and get into the beta. You'll still be able to buy the game when the full version is released, but this is your last chance to gain beta access.

One last reminder about the Kickstarter, less than 24 hours until it's over.

T-t-triple post combo

The Kickstarter ended not long ago with 1,690 people pledging a total of $30,480. The devs are saying that "All backers will recieve an email with details on how to receive their digital rewards soon.™".

Quote
For the Closed Beta itself, it will be up sometime tomorrow. Sorry! Please don't kill me. I know you all wanted to play it as soon as the Kickstarter ended, but we have to sift through thousands of emails, some bouncing, and organize with the Humble Store to make sure there are no bumps in the road.

For anyone who missed the Kickstarter for whatever reason, the devs have some information on that too: "Once we get the closed beta up and running, we will have, through the Humble Store, pre-order rewards very similar to those of the Kickstarter."

The beta was Kickstarter-only. The Humble Store options will only be for pre-ordering the final version of the game.

I really hope you didn't skip the beta because you just didn't want to make a Kickstarter account.

I just did not have the means of buying it

the beta is NOT kickstarter only apparently

the beta is NOT kickstarter only apparently

I'm not seeing where it says that, the post you linked was just a mod adding a tag to the thread and the devs didn't say anything about it elsewhere in the thread

whoops forgot to cut the "post" bit out

anyway

I'm pretty sure he's just saying which downloads will pop up on the Humble Store page depending on how much you pledged, but I suppose we'll know for sure when the time comes

The Beta is live: Those of you who pledged at the $25+ level can download 0.30.0.0 by going to your Humble Store profile page or by putting in the email address you used to purchase it into the key resender. Do not worry about the lack of file extension. Open the file with WinRAR and extract the contents to play.

There are some unexpected things in the beta:

A) The Bandit class is unplayable unlockable

B) A new character class called HAN-D has been added:

As you may be able to tell by his attack descriptions, HAN-D is a large (at least quadruple the size of the others), heavy-hitting class. His attacks are delayed but are quite powerful.

Wow I was literally just about to revive this thread now that the beta is available for purchase for those that missed the Kickstarter

2-3 beta patches went by before I was looking through my Humble Library and remembered I hadn't played in awhile, so I'm catching up

It's unfortunate that this game is soul-crushingly unpopular, though I can understand that most people wouldn't ever consider paying 1.5 times more than the normal value of the game just get a beta version despite the fact that I consider it more than worth it

The newest version of the beta added, among many other bugfixes and minor things, the Engineer, who attacks with a grenade launcher and can set up turrets and mines (and is hilariously overpowered), as well as the first version of the high score board that shows all your stats, personal bests, and cumulative totals
