Don't give him ideas!

I think the bump was justified. He was telling people how wrong they were.

I think the bump was justified. He was telling people how wrong they were.

They said I can't run any modern games.

I apparently can.

devildoge lite is just secretly jealous of the computer Lord Tony has.

You have to be loving kidding me, like seriously. He never said he needed it for school or work, just he didn't want to wait however many days. Since you're railing on assumptions why are you making the assumption he needs it for school or work? Also the whole thing about not being able to use a school computer is handicapped. Since he is over 20 that means it's impossible for him to be in highschool. This would mean he attends some form of college or trade school. Every college has somewhere students can use computers. More than just 1 area too.

He stated in the topic he did not have a car. I go to a college about 25 minutes away from where I live. For one day I use 25 miles of gas driving there and back. I go to that class twice a week so every week I use 50 miles of gas getting to class. Even with a car the prices add up. But we know he doesn't have a car, meaning its an even bigger pain in the ass to get there.

Now lets say his college isn't 25 minutres away. Let's say its 2 hours away and he takes all online classes. How is he getting to that college, devildog.

Just shut up, you were acting like a complete loving starfish. Not everyone is a computer genius and wants to take the time and struggle putting together a custom computer. I have a good amount of knowledge installing custom audio systems in car, that doesn't mean when my friend picks me up with a stock audio system that I criticize the stuff out of his car.

What the hell is lord tony talking about? Almost all of the parts when you buy them have longer warranties than the OEM brands (Dell, HP, etc). I think those brands only give you 1 year warranty while I have 3 year warranties on my power supply and hard drive, the rest are all one or two years but I still have warranties.

As for buying windows, you can get an OEM version (which is the same as regular windows) of Win7 home premium for $100. As for taxes it's actually cheaper, when you order PCs from HP or Dell (I keep using these two brands because I've purchased the most from them) you need to pay $100 or more in taxes/fees while on newegg it's about $20 or less depending on the state you live in. Building a PC will always be somewhat cheaper because you aren't paying for the People that make it or for the brand name

that is a bit of a myth. it takes all of 10-15 min to assemble a computer.

if you ordered from a site where you picked piece by piece then yeah they prob will throw in a 100 dollar extra charge for it.

but most custom comps are already assembled in bulk lots, and they dont charge for it. thats how they compete... because that is how business works. this isnt 1995 anymore.
most prebuilt custom computers are just as much or cheaper then buying piece by piece on your own.
