I honestly don't know what the point of the set idle > off event is; it does not appear to do anything to the bot, and he continues to do everything he originally did.

EDIT: There is NO way to make a bot follow the player?

Get with the times man!

All hail our lord and savior Badspot for giving us this update!

Yay!

Just messed around with this, these guys are funny. :P

I also made a crappy arena thing to test out the team thing, works out great.

Doesn't the SetAppearence event work on them?
It does, i made a zombie me

How the hell did you get the toy badspot in his hand?

So me and my friend Core were messing wish shark bots and they can have sunglasses (and a beard) like the skeletons.

-snip-

If you set a shark's name to "cool shark" then it will spawn with shades and a beard. Cool Easter egg.

How did you make that bot hold a bot?
Weird.

that new track is really cool

Weird.

He might have made a Badspot bot and just changed his own avatar and sat in it's hand.

Please tell me how to make bots attack

Code: [Select]
function Armor::onTargetEnterLOS( %this, %obj )

function Armor::onTargetExitLOS( %this, %obj )

function Armor::onTargetEngaged( %this, %obj )

function Armor::onTargetDisEngaged( %this, %obj )
where are these called? I can find them defined, and they are called in the trace, but I can't find where they are called in the script.

they're engine callbacks

Please tell me how to make bots attack

they only attack people they can actually damage and want to damage
spawn enemy bots or make a mini-game if you want them to attack players

Doesn't the SetAppearence event work on them?

This is probably possible with some events that already exist on RTB, like VCE, maybe?
Oh yeah, there is an event that gives them a random avatar. You can choose between Space and City. I personally like Space, but City is cool, also.

These bots are a great step forward with our AI. I haven't had one drive a jeep yet, so i'll try that later.

sorry for my stupidity but im not really understanding how to use bots. can you please show me the events?
sorry if i am bugging or annoying you
