>FTL
>First time fighting the flagship.
>Occasionally consider teleporting aboard, but given the size of their crew, looks like a Self Delete mission.
>Nearing end of fight, specifically their missile launcher has nearly completely ruined me.
>Wait a loving minute, the missile launcher control room isn't even connected to the rest of the ship.
>Ship torn apart by lasers just as my crew shuts down the missiles.
>Fable 3
>Go to sleep with 121 days until darkness attacks.
>Wake up.
>0 days left!
>Everyone dies.
>Supreme Commander
>Playing on a gigantic map composed of many small islands in a large ocean.
>Construct a decent base, my teammate focusing on fending off attackers and keeping the other 4 teams in check while I work on the Mavor, an experimental artillery building that can launch powerful shells anywhere on the map - a massive strategic upper hand on such a map.
>Mavor complete. Turn it on first enemy team.
>Out of the fog of war comes a massive flying saucer built by the guys I was attacking; another experimental unit.
>Fires a giant loving laser downward as it sweeps across my base.
>Eventually falls to AA defense, about halfway to the Mavor, with no immediately visible significant damage.
>Begin rebuilding perimeter turrets.
>"Strategic launch detected." (Someone fired a nuke)
>"Huh, someone is pissed off at someone. Wonder who fired it."
>Spy plane sees it's headed for me, courtesy of the same starfishs.
>"Oh well that's fine I built an anti nuke system ages ago-"
>The realization that it was destroyed in the saucer attack hits me about three seconds before the nuke does.
>Commander dead, Mavor destroyed, headquarters a smoldering crater, get to spend the next hour watching my teammate fight a war reminiscent of the Halo: Reach campaign.
