yeah ever since that pepole can mark and send locations to the google earth database pepole also sent the locations of SECRET BASES AND IMPORTANT LOCATIONS IN ISRAEL its only a matter of time before we will be in the middle of a war crysis just the fact that they can just simply look for it and find it risks israel.
i think google earth sould concider to filter or hide the important sections

That's a pretty stupid idea, since google uses satellite images, anyone who got those pics except for google can see where every secret base is.
All you need to do is to guard it with snipers and automated turrets, just like the pentagon, you can see it on google, but good luck trying to get in.

As far as I believe, Terrorists would have no logical reason to attack a government facility.

Their objective is to cause terror, whether that means Self Delete or not. Dying at some remote military installation isn't going to cause terror, its just gonna cause a few lulz if it ever gets shown on the news (unlikely though).

Better targets are cities and areas of dense civilian populations.

I mean look at 9/11. A few thousand people died which is nothing if you compare it to other more violent conflicts....like the American civil war when millions were killed....by fellow Americans. lol.

The outcry and emotional splurge on 9/11 was the result they wanted. It showed that a small simple attack can cause mass hysteria and de-stabilise national feelings of security.

Oh and that whole Iraq war thing....what a great way to promote democracy and western nations than to invade their country and kill their people.

As for the use of google maps as a terrorist weapon. Their useless. Anything worth seeing is not visible on the maps and it doesn't provide anything remotely useful in military terms such as elevation, terrain, forestation, ect.

TL;DR : Don't worry, there are certain kinds of fruit more useful in a terrorist attack than that of Google Maps.

look the fact that it is dangereus is that they can destroy these targets and then have an advantage in a war they show of extremly important miltary bases and facilatys destroying them may give them the best advantage they can get
also when i sayed terrorists i mean the countrys that surronds israel soria and jordan may be planning to start anoter war and this could be quite hazourdus(sp?)

Any major attack on the USA would be a foolish endeavour. Even if they could overwhelm military forces, they would never be able to get 300 million American citizens to comply to Allah or whatever other twisted god they worship.

And...the above point aside. As I said before. Those satellite photos offer NO STRATEGIC ADVANTAGES. They lack detail, timing and so on.

True military reconnaissance is a very detailed and timed process which involves many, many satellite photos at different times of day with background checks, and a myriad of other critical data.

Thanks to modern technology, warfare has transferred from broad attacks where pure strength wins to a guerilla warfare environment where the chief weapons are stealth and fear.

Next thing you know, people will be asking for automatic shades installed over airplane windows, triggered by a radio frequency emitted off of the base, so people can't see out of them when you fly into view of military base.

Terrorists don't have the backing to wage a WAR, by definition.

However, Israel is not very much liked in the Middle East, and the U.S.'s stalwart backing of her has resulted in a great deal of malintent towards us as well, which very well could have been one aspect of the reasoning for the 9/11 attacks(I think 6k people died).

Reactor made a few good points as well.
