Author Topic: THE WORST GAME YOU'VE EVER PLAYED?  (Read 14415 times)

How exactly was it ruined? I played it a few times, I don't like it at all.
Quote from: My review on Metacritic
The only reason I was interested in buying the new version was because of the nostalgia I felt for the fantastic free version which Ben Aksoy developed by his self. It was a simple, fun little time waster which you could play on practically any computer, with a fantastic creative community.

This game however has taught me that I should always check a game's Metascore before I go ahead and waste £8.99.
The new version is like a bad ripoff of TF2; they try to give personality to the different classes but I quite frankly didn't give a crap about them. I find it ironic that a game which originally had so much creativity now has the most unoriginal gameplay and game modes. The original only had one game mode, which was capture the flag, and there was a lot of potential for Jagex to come up with new ones to compliment the building and creative aspects of the game. In reality, what they give us are Deathmatches and CTFs with no original content and a completely dull zombie mode with terrible AI which basically makes it Call of Duty and Minecraft's ugly lovechild.

What was creative and fun about the original is now ruined. Building, which was the main aspect of the game, is now completely pointless because of the miner class being able to completely obliterate any blocks in a couple of seconds. Weapons are stupidly inaccurate, making it nigh on impossible to feel like you are getting a good clean shot at all and I had some terrible lag issues, with players jerking around all over the place and the weapons being even more inaccurate then they already are.

I find it insanely depressing how Jagex, a company with a huge dedicated team, could make a worse game than one guy who programmed the original by himself. What's worse is, this horrible FPS actually has a large amount of fans all over the world who defend the game to the very end. Jagex have completely taken a dump on a game I knew and loved a year ago. The only reason I'm not giving it a 0 is because the game features one good feature from the original, the graphics, and enhances it giving a nice visual feel to the game, but that is literally all I liked about it. Seriously, I urge you not to waste money on this piece of trash.
That's why.

That's why.

I can't even join any server without losing connection a few seconds later.

See if I give Jagex another penny.

Umm, id say Need For Speed Underground

i played the absolute stuff out of sa2b as a little kid
and a few weeks ago for like two weeks

but HOW can you even consider this game remotely BAD?
the missions are so replayable
the music is great
and is a great challenge
it was great, i used to love it

but it's aged terribly

you can get a lot of fun from it, but it's not particularly good anymore

and this is from my experiences with games in general, that was the worst game that came to mind haha.

lego starwars 2 on ds is so buggy i actually think it was a joke.

i actually like kingdom hearts, though. silly concept, fun game.

That's why.
You gave it a 0 because it wasn't like the old Ace of Spades. Most people rate games based on the actual gameplay of it, not the changes that were made.

I don't understand why everyone hated Sonic R. It was such a fun game
Yeah, it was small, but I liked it.

Blockland: You place a brick and you need to place another brick, and you repeat doing that.
At least it has a good objective, build.... stuff err
Good point

I wish you could do the tag game where you have to run from everyone else.

The games people make aren't that bad. You can tell they tried. The game itself is so poorly designed, glitchy, the servers are basically run on a pentuim III, and its so loving horrible that I found that its actually easier to make a game in Unity then it is making a place in ROBLOX. And they want you to pay 20 bucks a months for that stuff? Its a bigger scam then loving WarZ.
Roblox isn't bad. The community is loving atrocious and the games are okay. But the game itself, as a base, is loving atrocious. Not bad, atrocious.

The game is a horribly designed piece of stuff. It's glitchy. The servers are loving horrible and lag out every 3 seconds, its ugly, its designed on an engine meant to teach newcomers how to do basic programming, it tries to copy every new fad in gaming (minecraft generator, tf2 trading system, every other loving tf2 item). They raped the lua compatibility. And they want you to pay 20 bucks a month for stuffty gear and the ability to have more places (because god knows that the servers can't handle more then 15k bricks before going into cardiac arrest). The updates do nothing to fix the bugs or the hacking. They just add stuff no one ever uses so make it look like they are doing something and that people should play their stuff. The game is honestly worse then WarZ. People who say its a good game and that its only the community that's bad are the equivalent of the people who say that sonic 06 is a good game if you get past all the glitches. The whole thing is complete stuff. It doesn't matter if you play the game in singleplayer, multiplayer, or with a group of friends. It's a horrible, buggy, piece of stuff.

Mega Man II for the Gameboy.

Erm...
Jeez this is hard...
It would be...
UGH forget I DUNNO.
Minecraft, it's not a "bad" game but I don't like it.
