The gunship immediately begins experiencing instability problems, and glides toward the landing pad at the under construction training center, which was currently a large portable pad on a flat mound of dirt. The gunship, unable to deploy its gear in time, slams into the pad, leaving a large dent, and begins to skid across it toward the trees. The treeline, luckily, has strong roots, and is able to stop the gunship from skidding any further, but one of the trees catches fire. A sudden act of heroism sparks in one of the construction crew, as he grabs a hose and quickly screws it onto an open valve nearby, where plumbing is being installed, and begins spraying it toward the burning engine. Unfortunately, it's not enough. Another construction worker carrying a fire extinguisher runs toward the gunship, and several OCS operators rush toward it as well, immediately climbing onto the roosterpit and attempting to rescue the struggling pilot. All acts to save him are unfortunately in vain, as the gunship explodes. Anyone in the vicinity of the blast is severely injured and burned, or killed. Upon receiving such a report, Mr. Dern immediately hires private investigators who are sent to Eastern Europe/Western Russia. Fingers are pointed at several countries, Lestainia, Republic of Belsnia, and Afkoshila, to blame for the attacks.
